Job description

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB

To promote and sell the Bank’s product bouquet to clients through responsible sales activities. Responsible for sourcing and developing new contacts/prospects and sales leads through the Bank’s internal campaigns and your own referrals.

Key Performance Inputs/Activities

1. Sales Focus

  • Achieve customer growth, revenue, and collection targets as defined by the bank.
  • Meet and exceed individual activity metrics for all product lines.
  • Meet, exceed, and effectively execute all sales and customer targets set by the bank.
  • Implement the bank's sales strategy regarding product and value-added services (up-selling, cross-selling, capital take-up).
  • Outbound calling to existing and prospective customers.
  • Convert all sales opportunities from inbound requests, outbound calls, lead initiatives, and customer queries.
  • Establish, develop, and maintain relationships with existing and prospective customers to generate new business.
  • Participate in cross-selling bank products.
  • Maintain detailed pipeline and prospect data.
  • Arrange in-person visits, appointments, and presentations, with follow-up calls as necessary.
  • Conduct professional financial needs analyses to facilitate sales.
  • Schedule customer feedback for document collection and updates.
  • Adhere to supervision requirements for all financial products.
  • Prepare and present weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports to management.
  • Ensure effective cash management, CAM management, and credit card administration as authorized.
  • Take accountability for your results.

2. Marketing Focus

  • Stay informed about products, services, competitive activities, and marketing trends.
  • Identify referral opportunities within and around the branch.
  • Support branch goals via marketing activities, promotions, telemarketing, and targeted initiatives.
  • Participate in community events to increase business opportunities.
  • Ensure all marketing activities adhere to policies and procedures.

3. Risk & Compliance Focus

  • Ensure deal quality by reviewing applications promptly and accurately, utilizing all necessary bank tools to mitigate risk.
  • Comply with all policies and regulatory requirements, including AML and fraud reporting.
  • Maintain a 'zero-defect' approach to deal quality and income/expenses capturing.
  • Follow FAIS guidelines and qualification parameters.

4. Customer Service

  • Adhere to the bank’s customer service standards and legislation.
  • Follow TCF principles.
  • Take accountability for your behavior and support team members in customer engagement.
  • Satisfy customers’ financial needs and assist their financial success.
  • Ensure quality application processing, timely turnaround, query resolution, and solution provision.

5. Training & Development

  • Participate in ongoing sales and service training to address developmental needs.
  • Complete all product, service, risk, and compliance training initiatives.

6. Operational Activities

  • Follow all security, safety, and operational procedures, including opening/closing, surveillance, and emergency protocols.
  • Perform additional administrative duties as required by management.

Minimum Education

NQF level 6 FSCA-aligned/business qualification; RE5 is preferred.

Minimum Experience

At least 2 years of sales and client service experience, with full representative status in all product categories.
