Job description

Medipost Pharmacy is seeking to recruit a CDU Stock Administrator for the Chronic Dispensing Unit, conducted for the Department of Health in the Western.

Job Specification
  1. Assist in daily warehouse receiving and distribution areas.
  2. Ensure stock is safely and correctly stored away.
  3. Receiving of incoming stock and routing to appropriate areas.
  4. Filing of stock orders from production.
  5. Accurately log inventory transactions.
  6. Conduct cycle counts and reconciliation activities.
  7. Complete instructions for all tasks accurately and timely.
  8. Comply with company policies and safety regulations.
  9. Operate forklift/walk-behind or man-on stacker/turret truck and/or pallet jack.
  10. Accurately pick orders from pick lists.
  11. Replenish the Auto Dispensing Unit (ADU) to meet operational demands.
  12. Bulk picking in preparation for the following day's dispensing.
  13. Replenish stock continuously to ensure uninterrupted dispensing on the ADU.
  14. Replenish stock on FIFO and FEFO principles to prevent expiry-related stock write-offs.
  15. Verify stock expiry dates and escalate variances to the supervisor.
  16. Attend and participate in daily/weekly team meetings.
  17. Adhere to good housekeeping practices.
  18. Accurate reporting of errors.
  19. Maintain time and attendance according to company policies.

  • Ability to prioritize a large workload.
  • Maintain policy guidelines under pressure.
  • Act independently and take charge of projects on short notice.
  • Willingness to work overtime during high-pressure periods.
  • Requirements:
  • Matric, Learner Basic / Qualified Basic.
  • 1-2 years' experience in warehouse, stock control, and replenishment.
  • Registered at SAPC.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Critical thinking skills for planning and assessment.
  • Strong organizing and prioritizing skills.
  • Numeracy skills for calculations and estimates.
  • Physical agility to lift heavy loads.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented.
