We have an amazing opportunity for a Senior Area Manager (Retail), based in Western Cape! Do you think you have what it takes to be our newest Purple Star?

As the Senior Area Manager (Retail), you will be responsible for supporting the Regional Manager in ensuring growth of the region and taking accountability for the Regional Management function to ensure smooth running and management of operations. This includes improving the region’s financial performance in terms of stakes, cost control, productivity and efficiency, resource planning, customer service levels, reporting, and compliance with company policies, legislative and statutory policies. Ensure all branches comply with legislative requirements and Hollywood standards of excellence.

You Bring:

  • Valid Driver’s license.
  • Previous management experience.

What You’ll Do For The Brand:

  • Develop and implement regional plans to attain forecasted growth and other targets.
  • Review branch locations and possible relocation options to ensure maximum returns.
  • Communicate financial targets to each branch and measure branch performance.
  • Plan for growth in resources by identifying potential candidates for future roles.
  • Review regional costs, scrutinize branch expenses, and identify irregularities and trends.
  • Conduct regular visits to regional branches.
  • Ensure branches operate optimally through sound people management, including recruitment, onboarding, training, payroll, clockwatch, and performance management procedures.
  • Partner with marketing to ensure branches reach their financial targets.
  • Ensure all new team members receive necessary training before starting.
  • Evaluate business procedures and recommend improvements to the Operations Manager.
  • Arrange regular meetings with Branch Managers to discuss targets, challenges, and resolutions.
  • Ensure superior customer service, pro-actively address complaints, and build strong customer relationships.
  • Monitor gambling board licenses and renewals, ensuring compliance with legislation.
  • Maintain branch facilities, ensuring they are neat, tidy, and compliant with standards.
  • Implement succession planning by identifying and developing talent within the region.
  • Read newsflashes daily and provide remedy options.
  • Minimize audit queries and provide timely resolutions.
  • Develop a safe and positive work environment.
  • Ensure daily reports are submitted and provide proactive feedback as required.
