Job description

Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions is a global leading supplier of equipment, tools, parts, services, and technical solutions for the mining and infrastructure industries.

Role:

Provide quality technical support and develop the technical competencies of internal and external customers related to rebuilds on Sandvik trackless mobile machines.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide technical support to end users, operators, and service personnel.
2. Provide relevant feedback to Product Support Managers (PSMs) to enable improvements to the equipment or its operation.
3. Assist in compiling accurate data for warranty claims and in designing machine improvements.
4. Review spare parts recommendations with Parts organization.
5. Contribute to the review of strategic stock lists for the workshop.
6. Provide information on Machine Life Operating Costs (MLOC) to PSMs.
7. Investigate warranty claims to enhance customer satisfaction and provide feedback to Warranty Handlers.
8. Provide on-site technical support during machine rebuilds.
9. Conduct root cause failure analysis on components during testing after rebuilds.
10. Input into customizing and improving workshop service job plans.
11. Monitor the rebuild process and recommend process optimizations.
12. Manage quotations to ensure costs align with the Bill of Material.
13. Manage profit margins per rebuild.
14. Contribute to the overall optimization of workshop resources.

Profile Required:

• Electrical trade certificate of competence with apprenticeship portfolio evidence.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in operational, maintenance, and engineering aspects of rebuilds.
• Knowledge and experience with Sandvik trackless mobile machines is advantageous.
• 5 years of trackless mining experience.
• Physical and medical ability to work in a mining environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
