Job description

The Solutions Architect will own the design and development of enterprise-scale systems using data, microservices, and leading-edge marketing technology to improve business outcomes.

Skills and experience in Azure or AWS cloud technologies, working with domain-driven design, event-driven architecture, and Kubernetes, are required to design digital solutions for the bank and its customers.

Requirements

1. SOLUTIONS DESIGN: Responsible for designing new solutions and documenting deliverables (Product team, IT team, business heads, Operations, and Audit).
2. Drafting architectures for new, existing, and project deliverables.
3. Engagement with development teams to optimize their work's value.

Stakeholder Engagement

Coordinate technology decisions with Product Owners, Business Owners, and development teams to ensure standards are followed.

Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to understand product requirements, analyze customer needs, and translate them into solutions.

Business Requirements

Participate in refining and approving requirements from your product team colleagues (user stories, functional and non-functional requirements, acceptance criteria, in-scope and out-of-scope criteria, test cases).

Be involved in release planning, driving the release through user acceptance testing and stakeholder approval.

Academic Knowledge

Tertiary qualification (BSc in Computer Science / BCom in Informatics) or 3-year Diploma/Degree in Information Technology. Certifications in TOGAF and cloud (AWS or Azure).

• 4+ years in solution design
• 4+ years as a Solutions Architect

• Designing end-to-end and full-stack solutions

• Strong architecture experience
• Strong software development understanding
• Experience with Openshift / Kubernetes / Docker
• Integration via REST, SOAP, messaging platforms (e.g., IBM MQ)
