To provide a full HC support service to the corporate business unit and the Business Partners in terms of people practices, processes and human capital operational requirements.

KEY PERFORMANCE INPUTS / ACTIVITIES:

Treating Customers Fairly and Compliance

Create and maintain productive relationships with internal and external clients by providing advice and assistance.

Create understanding of the ‘real’ versus ‘perceived’ need through experience and expertise while complying with company policies, legislation and regulations.

Keep the client informed about progress through written communication, telephone communications, and/or face-to-face meetings.

Build a positive image by exceeding client expectations at all times.

Treat internal and external customers fairly at all times

Performance Management

Assist in education of staff

Facilitate, educate and advise management and staff on Performance Management

Process.

Assist in ensuring that processes and policies are followed and implemented.

objectively and fairly.

Assist in facilitation of Poor Work Performance discussions.

Talent Management

Liaise with African Bank Human Capital Centre of Excellence to identify suitable programs for employees where applicable.

Conduct exit interviews to determine reasons for staff turnover and provide feedback

Administration

Manage all new starters, transfers, terminations, changes and prepare documentation timeously to be sent to Shared Services for actioning.

Assist with general Human Capital queries.

Assist with administration of Projects as per the HC Calendar

Reward and Recognition

Attend recognition meetings where applicable

Assist staff and managers with recognition process

Assist in co-ordination of recognition function.

Industrial Relations

Advise staff on IR policies and procedures as well as African Bank’s internal procedures.

Attend disciplinary meetings to ensure Human Capital processes are followed.

Recruitment

Assist with Recruitment process

Effective Self-Management

Create and manage own career through guidance and support of department and colleagues.

Manage stress and pressure effectively.

Plan and prioritize effectively to ensure deadlines are met and quality standards maintained.

MINIMUM EDUCATION:

HR Diploma

Matric certificate

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:

3 years working experience in HR generalist environment
