Job description

The Regional On Premise Manager (ROPM) is responsible for the implementation and execution of the national business plan within the assigned region. As the leader of the On Premise team, known as Musketeers, the ROPM is the face of the brand in the market and is accountable for optimising sales, brand presence, and product awareness throughout the On Premise channel. This includes building strategic relationships, developing marketing strategies, leading a dynamic team, and driving performance through innovation and excellence.

Salary / CTC : Market related (Depending on current earnings, qualifications, and experience)

Report to : National On Premise Manager

Type : Permanent

Key Responsibilities :

  • Represent and embody brand values within the region.
  • Ensure consistent internal communication and collaboration between regional and national teams.
  • Maintain high brand image standards within the On Premise network.
  • Lead, coach, and motivate a high-performing On Premise team.
  • Develop and manage a regional training plan for continuous team growth.
  • Regularly assess team capabilities and provide field-based coaching and feedback.
  • Plan for future leadership through succession development.
  • Strategic Operator :
  • Develop and implement the regional On Premise business strategy.
  • Conduct regular field visits to stay updated on market dynamics and opportunities.
  • Plan and manage territory coverage for optimal execution.
  • Collaborate with marketing to design On Premise brand activations and sales-driving initiatives.
  • Business Manager :
  • Allocate and optimise team resources, including budget and marketing materials.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of performance metrics and market insights to guide action plans.
  • Continuously evaluate and adjust the team structure to align with geographical and business growth.

Experience :

  • Ideally 2 years of team management experience in the FMCG sector.
  • Experience as a Musketeer or in On Premise sales is highly advantageous.
  • Established contacts in HORECA / nightlife scene or ability to build them quickly.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to convert market insights into actionable business and marketing strategies.
  • Socially adaptable and culturally aware with a professional presence.
  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to thrive in a field-based, fast-paced environment.
  • Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Working Conditions :

  • Field-based role requiring regular travel within the Eastern Cape region.
