Job Description

Ingredients Sales Manager

Purpose: The sales manager actively maintains and expands our food customer base in the region, drives customer projects, and builds a solid project pipeline for sustainable business results.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Take responsibility for food sales customers in the South African region, including support of Key Accounts, distributors, and regular Food Customers.
  2. Develop and implement innovative sales and marketing strategies within the East African market.
  3. Create and fulfill sales plans and budgets based on market plans.
  4. Control all sales activities with existing and potential customers.
  5. Establish and develop long-term customer relationships.
  6. Monitor the market and identify market potential.
  7. Develop customer concepts in cooperation with product management, application, and product development.
Qualifications
  • Degree in sciences, food science and technology, or business administration preferred.
  • Experience in the B2B food ingredients business, plant-based proteins, and texturants highly appreciated.
  • Knowledge and contacts in the Savory (Meat extension, Meat analogue, Snacks), Dairy, and Sweet goods markets.
  • Willingness to travel regularly within the region (50%).
  • Excellent English skills; French or Portuguese advantageous.
  • Independent, structured work approach.
  • Enthusiasm, initiative, and ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills, team spirit, and result orientation.
  • Customer service orientation and technological skills.
  • Ability to work within an international matrix organization.
