Qualifications

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist the Chief Electrician in the maintenance, repair, and installation of all electrical equipment On Board Cruise Ship

- Conduct regular inspections and testing of electrical systems and equipment to ensure they are in proper working condition.

- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues and perform necessary repairs.

- Maintain an inventory of spare parts and equipment and ensure they are properly stored and accounted for.

- Follow all safety protocols and regulations while working on board.

- Keep detailed records of all maintenance and repairs performed.

- Assist in training and supervising junior electricians and other crew members on electrical safety and procedures.

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an electrician on board vessels.

- Knowledge of electrical systems and equipment commonly used on board ships.

- Familiarity with relevant safety regulations and procedures.

- Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and blueprints.

- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

- Willingness to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.

- Valid STCW certification and other relevant licenses and certifications.
