Network Operations Solutions Architect

Applications are invited for the Network Operations Solutions Architect position to be based in Stellenbosch. This person will report to the Head of Technology.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

The Network Operations Solutions Architect will be responsible for all network solutions from needs-analysis, through solutions architecture, implementation, and support.

Key Performance Areas:

1. Design, implement, and optimize network and connectivity solutions for customers.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop tailored technical solutions.
3. Architect and integrate technologies into cohesive, high-performing solutions.
4. Translate business requirements into scalable and innovative network products.

Minimum Experience / Skills:

1. Minimum 3 years' experience in multi-vendor environments, hardware and software.
2. Network Engineering and Network Radio frequency experience.
3. Documenting solutions and architecture that can be used for implementation and support of the solutions.
4. Thorough understanding of networks, systems, and how to effectively use them to deliver solutions.
5. Working with Enterprise and SME business customers.
6. Analytical thinking and acumen for problem solving.
7. Ability to transfer skills and knowledge to others.

Technology Stack Experience:

1. SD-WAN, VPN solutions, BGP, Network automation, Network monitoring, LAN management, Enterprise W-LAN, Security solutions, Mobile (LTE & 5G).
2. Network tools: Monitoring, reporting, scripting languages.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
2. Certifications and courses, as listed below, are highly desirable: Equipment vendor specific qualifications, Juniper, Cisco, Arista, Extreme, Fortinet, HP, Nokia.
3. Project management qualification.
