Job description

SENIOR ARCHITECTURAL TECHNOLOGIST

TradeOn is a KFC Franchisee with outlets across South Africa.

Responsibilities:

1. Accurate measurement and scoping of buildings to create drawings to the specifications and requirements of the company and franchisor.
2. A creative and innovative approach to design, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering outstanding results.
3. Ensure drawings/plans are compliant with National Building Regulations SANS and other statutory construction requirements in respect of retail premises.
4. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
5. Manage and submit constructions & signage drawings for council approval nationally, liaising with stakeholders in the approval process, and obtaining occupation certificates as an end result.
6. Solid experience with local authority submissions.
7. Research all relevant information that might impact the development of the site (e.g., restrictions and regulations).
8. Manage Project Administration.

Requirements for position:

1. Bachelor's degree or similar tertiary qualification in Architecture and SACAP registered.
2. 7-10 years' experience as an Architectural Technologist in a retail/QSR environment.
3. Proficient with REVIT LT.
4. Highly organized, deadline-driven, and accurate.
5. Project Administration and Management Skills.
6. Excellent Written and Communication Skills.
7. Knowledge of the latest Council legislation, policies & procedures.
8. Demonstrate advanced understanding of the architectural design process and integration of interior architecture with the ability to develop interior design element components.
9. Required to manage multiple projects through all phases from proposal through to construction.
10. Strong abilities in drawing up costings, schedules, and other project documentation.
11. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
12. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel for projects.
