Qualifications

  • 2-4 years' experience in HVAC general experience.
  • A valid driver’s licence (code EB) with two years driving experience.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain records of all HVAC requirements and asset inventory.
  • Repair damaged and faulty HVAC systems and perform refrigeration repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety policies on site.

Job description

Applications are invited for a dynamic, motivated individual as an Operator HVAC with technical skills and knowledge, to assist with maintenance, general facilities management and general administration.

Reporting to the Foreman, responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Administrative:

  • Maintain relevant and up-to-daterecords of all HVAC requirements
  • Maintain asset inventory
  • General assistance to the Foreman
  • Raise and close Job Cards on the maintenance management system

Other Duties:

  • General maintenance function to quickly analyse and solveHVAC issues and communicate effectively with the Foreman to determine how problems relating to HVAC concerns will be addressed and efficiently source and controlparts and spares
  • Deal with clients, service provider management and vendors
  • Report on snags, issues and items affecting building condition and performance
  • Update vehicle log book
  • Assist the Foreman/maintenance manager to investigate and keep up to date withnew products and technologywhich can assist the organization to reduce costs and improve service
  • Ensure employees, buildings and equipment meet the relevantsafety requirementsin terms of the OHS Act and any other relevant regulations
  • Repair damaged and faulty HVAC systems
  • Must be able to do refrigeration repairs, fault finding, replacing of compressors and components.
  • Ensure general House keeping is done (make sure work area stays neat and tidy)
  • Attend to preventative maintenance schedules with SLA vendors
  • Adhere to health and safety policies on site
  • Ensure PPE adherence is followed

  • 2-4 years' experience in HVAC general experience
  • A valid driver’s licence (code EB) – with two years driving experience

Competencies :

  • Good knowledge of health & safety requirements in the workplace

Knowledge:

Central Air-conditioning systems and mechanical knowledge related to air- conditioning and refrigeration.

The person should be able to work Standby and overtime duties.
