Business Communication Consultant

Under general supervision responsible for a combination of sales and customer service, both pro-active and re-active. Duties include cross-selling to clients as well as nurturing the client relationship. A knowledge/background of credit, finance would be advantageous in the job. Good interpersonal skills are essential for the success of this position.

What will make you successful in this role?

Job purpose

To plan, create and distribute quality client-facing documentation in line with the agreed practice in the Business Communication team. This includes the compilation of ad hoc client facing letters with mail merge tools, quality data management and testing of batch generated letters and statements.

Key outcomes

1. Do the day-to-day distribution of Glacier’s electronic communication to clients and intermediaries
2. Ensure a quality, consistent and holistic approach to documentation changes by keeping systems, process and regulatory requirements such as TCF in mind
3. To keep abreast with communication techniques and implement it
4. Deliver & prioritize various projects at the same time
5. Create new documents from scratch in a team environment
6. Influence the outcome of documents in projects considering client experience to ensure quality communication
7. Proofread, translate and edit documents as required by the business
8. Responsible for user acceptance testing and providing input in compiling testing matrixes
9. Responsible for input into and sign-off of client statements after UAT
10. Do quality assurance on team members’ work & coach for improvement

Qualifications and experience

1. A degree in communication or document design will be to your advantage.
2. At least 2/3 years’ experience in an investment environment where written communication and/or document design is required
3. Advanced Excel & MS Word skills
4. The following will be to your advantage:
5. Experience with tools such as Everlytic
6. Previous experience in (AUT) testing
7. Creative writing skills

• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, in English and Afrikaans
