We’re expanding and looking for aFleet Controllerwith proven experience in heavy haulage. If you're confident managing abnormal transport logistics, coordinating drivers, and keeping operations on track, this is your opportunity to take the lead in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and coordinate daily activities of drivers and vehicles.
• Track vehicle locations, routes and schedules.
• Monitor driver performance and inspection reports.
• Communicate with drivers and clients for efficient delivery.
• Identify vehicle defects from pre-checks and report to workshop.
• Liaise with maintenance team and third-party service providers.
• Maintain accurate records (vehicle maintenance, fuel, driver hours).
• Ensure all vehicles and drivers meet compliance (Hazchem, permits etc).
• Manage fuel usage and reporting.
• Implement safety protocols and meet industry regulations.
• Resolve transportation issues or delays promptly.
• Guide team to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
• Perform administrative duties and document control.
• Work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Requirements:

• Must have a Matric Certificate.
• Experience with the abnormal / heavy haulage industry (preferably).
• Must be computer literate.
• Advance proficiency and working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Must have a valid driver’s licence and own reliable vehicle.
• Experience with Navis (preferable, but not important).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
