Business Analyst / Commercial Finance Analyst

The Business Analyst is responsible for providing data and analysis to assist the Commercial Development Manager in projects aimed at improving the commercial performance of Coloplast South Africa (SA) and Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA).

The Business Analyst supports various business segments in executing commercial processes, projects, and initiatives to maximize business impact in SA and SSA. Main responsibilities include top-line business performance analysis, insights generation, report development, ad-hoc analytics, and special projects. You will report to the Commercial Development Manager. Your key responsibilities will be:

  1. Frequently analyze and communicate commercial performance against targets with a focus on accuracy.
  2. Identify business trends using data to strengthen strategy and processes.
  3. Manage internal and external data sources, ensuring data integrity for reporting and decision-making.
  4. Assist the Commercial Excellence Manager in business planning and reporting, including developing business intelligence reports.
  5. Coordinate with the sales team for market information such as S&T, competition, and territory sizing.
  6. Participate in strategic projects to improve commercial performance, such as pricing, business cases, tools, and tenders.
  7. Manage daily CRM activities.
  8. Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze overall performance.

Qualifications:

  • CA(SA) / CIMA or relevant Finance Degree.
  • 0-2 years post-articles experience.
  • 1-2 years in business partnering or management consulting is advantageous.
  • Experience in Pharma or Medtech industry is advantageous.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to develop fact-based recommendations.
  • Strong business acumen and commercial understanding.
  • Effective collaboration skills across functions and cultures.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Proficient in MS Office; Power BI, SQL, and Python skills are advantageous.
