About the Team

The Territory Account Manager basedin Johannesburg will join a collaborative and supportive team within the Sales division at Nutanix. This role will focus on the mixed accounts set in the Enterprise and Mid-Market space. As an Account Manager, you are responsible for selling Nutanix Products and Solutions through Channel Partners, leveraging alliances and ISVs and interacting directly with customers. You will also be working closely with a Pre-Sales Specialist in your territory.

You will report to the Regional Sales Manager, SADC, who emphasizes the importance of attitude and teamwork. The manager encourages an open environment where team members can raise issues and seek support, promoting a culture of collaboration and friendship. This role operates in a hybrid setup, allowing for flexibility, with the expectation that the new hire will spend 2-3 days in the office each week to facilitate effective teamwork and client engagement.

Your Role

  • As a Territory Account Manager, you will be a key player within the Nutanix field sales team to drive net new business sales in the assigned territory.
  • Demonstrate strong expertise in technical specifications required to sell Nutanix products and services to customers.
  • Possess an aptitude for understanding how technology products and solutions solve business problems and the competitive landscape.
  • Work collaboratively with employees within the sales function and cross-functional teams such as Marketing, Sales Operations, System Engineering, and Product Development.
  • Target account selling, solution selling, and consultative sales techniques.
  • Use SFDC, strong verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
  • Articulate the Nutanix value proposition, features, product messages and positioning.

What You Will Bring

  • 8+ years of proven IT sales experience within the SADC region.
  • Outside software sales, quota carrying, hunting, and successful closing skills experience.
  • A track record of exceeding assigned sales quotas in multiple, continuous years.
  • Deep understanding of the customers and partner ecosystem in the region and how the drive for simplicity, cloud-first strategies, and cost savings can build positive relationships and deliver significant sales success.
  • An entrepreneurial spirit with an affinity for growth, collaboration, and teamwork.
  • Keen ability to develop new accounts and penetrate new divisions and organizations within your assigned accounts.
  • Highly organized, with deep knowledge of account planning and strategy.
