Job description

Job Purpose

The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for overseeing all warehouse activities-from receiving and inventory control to dispatch and team supervision. The role requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is safety-minded, and brings strong organizational and leadership capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily warehouse operations: receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and dispatch
• Maintain accurate stock levels through cycle counts and regular stock takes
• Lead, motivate, and manage warehouse staff effectively
• Enforce and uphold health and safety regulations (SHEQ standards)
• Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics and resolve delivery issues
• Streamline warehouse layout and implement efficient processes
• Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with procurement and sales teams to ensure alignment of stock levels with demand

Minimum Requirements

• 3-5 years' experience in warehouse or distribution management
• Experience in the PPE, industrial supply, or clothing/workwear industry is a strong advantage
• Proven leadership and team management experience
• Strong knowledge of warehouse best practices and SHEQ compliance
• Computer literate with working knowledge of inventory and warehouse systems
• Matric (Grade 12) required; relevant tertiary qualifications are a bonus
• Forklift license is advantageous
