My client based in Bellville (Northern Suburbs) is currently looking for a Learning Instructional Designer to join them on a fixed-term contract.

Responsibilities
- Engage with key individuals to identify learning objectives and requirements aligned with the business culture and objectives.
- Develop and update learning programs to meet learning objectives.
- Design and develop assessments to evaluate learning and knowledge acquired, as well as its impact.
- Consult with key stakeholders to ensure learning content is accurate and relevant.
- Design and develop learning frameworks, storyboards, video scripts, delivery plans, workshop materials, etc.
- Apply tested instructional design theories, practices, and methods.
- Maintain project plans, documentation, course folders, and workflow using relevant internal tools.
- Stay updated on trends and technologies in learning and development.
- Contribute to internal processes and learning methodologies for continuous improvement.
- Provide internal QA.
- Demonstrate excellent planning and coordination skills.
- Work both independently and as part of a team.
- Manage multiple priorities within set timeframes.
- Exhibit excellent interpersonal and networking skills.
- Maintain a strong service orientation towards stakeholders.
Experience
- Relevant tertiary qualification in L&D discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in designing and developing blended and online training programs.
- Experience in the financial services sector is preferred.
- Ability to work efficiently and independently while maintaining quality standards.
- Deep understanding of instructional design, learning principles, and accessibility.
- Basic proficiency in instructional design tools and technologies such as LMS systems and industry-standard authoring tools.
- Experience with Articulate Storyline or similar tools is highly beneficial.
- Experience in developing online courses is highly desirable.
- Expertise in micro-learning and transforming courses into engaging online formats.
- Effective engagement with stakeholders in both spoken and written communication.
- Excellent presentation, writing, and customer service skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Excellent organizational skills and a team-oriented attitude.
