Key Purpose

The key purpose of this role is maintaining and managing electrical systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of power generation, transmission, and distribution infrastructure.

This includes overseeing electrical plant availability, executing shutdowns, supporting continuous improvement, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Metering, Protection and Testing of Substation Equipment

Electrical Engineering Theoretical knowledge

Basic DC / Power Electronics Systems, Batteries, Rectifiers, Power Supplies, Chargers, VFD, UPS.

Electrical Installations Regulation and SANS-1

Electrical Machinery Regulations

Minimum Requirements :

N4 Electrical Engineering (HC)

MV / LV Installation / Electrification, Operating and Maintenance
