This role is based in Cape Town, but you may service a number of territories we operate in, such as South Africa, the UK, US, and Europe.

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Account Manager ("JAM") to join our fast-growing client services team, which sits at the heart of our company.

You will become an expert in our product suite and demonstrate your knowledge by engaging with our organiser clients.

You will spend most of your time in our account management team, with some customer service and operations responsibilities.

This role offers experience across multiple territories, meaning while based in Cape Town, you may work across different time zones.

This is a fast-paced, dynamic role suited for someone looking to develop their account management skills and gain experience in a technology scale-up environment.

The position is hybrid, based in our Cape Town office at least 3 days per week.

The JAM will report to the Senior Account Manager in SA and the Senior Client Operations Manager in the UK.

Responsibilities
  1. Handle enquiries from our client base and support their needs.
  2. Serve as the key point of contact for assigned client accounts, maintaining satisfaction and building strong relationships.
  3. Develop a trusted advisor relationship with clients to align goals and identify success metrics.
  4. Implement retention strategies to increase client lifetime value.
  5. Collaborate with colleagues to meet or exceed client expectations.
  6. Work with the Business Development Team to ensure smooth onboarding from deal closure to full account management.
  7. Handle client escalations and coordinate across teams to resolve issues.
  8. Provide feedback to improve client service and reduce churn.
  9. Identify and pursue upselling opportunities.
  10. Manage the renewal process for your clients.
  11. Achieve targets related to renewals, revenue retention, and upsells.
  12. Develop a strong understanding of competitors, ticketing, and the events industry.
  13. Attend virtual and physical meetings with clients, including travel as needed.
  14. Maintain excellent organization and project management skills.
  15. Identify and create new opportunities with an entrepreneurial mindset.
  16. Communicate effectively and document interactions clearly.
  17. Be proactive, ambitious, and a self-starter.
