What You Can Expect

We are seeking a highly skilled and results-driven BBBEE Specialist to join our team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with BBBEE legislation, managing and maintaining accurate records of our supplier base's BBBEE status, and working closely with our BBBEE consultants, Enterprise Development (ED), Supplier Development (SD), and Skills Development teams. Additionally, this role will require experience in the preparation and management of Workplace Skills Plans (WSP) and Annual Training Reports (ATR) to ensure alignment with BBBEE requirements

This position also requires a strong understanding of BBBEE policies, procurement processes, and managing supplier databases to ensure BBBEE compliance across the organisation.

How You'll Create Impact

  • Oversee the preparation and submission of the company's BBBEE reports to ensure timely and accurate submissions.
  • Work with BBBEE consultants to monitor and improve the company's BBBEE scorecard.
  • Regularly review, update, and report on the company's BBBEE status to senior management.
  • Work closely with the ED & SD teams to identify and support BBBEE initiatives that promote business growth for historically disadvantaged suppliers.
  • Track and report on ED & SD contributions to the BBBEE scorecard.
  • Support the development and execution of programs designed to uplift small and medium-sized enterprises in line with BBBEE guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the Skills Development team to ensure that BBBEE-related training and skills development initiatives are implemented and tracked effectively.
  • Assist in managing skills development initiatives to meet the company's BBBEE targets.
  • Prepare and manage the Workplace Skills Plan (WSP) and Annual Training Report (ATR) in accordance with the Skills Development Act and BBBEE requirements, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Ensure the company meets the required training targets and submit relevant reports to the relevant authorities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external consultants, government bodies, and other stakeholders on BBBEE-related matters.
  • Provide guidance to internal teams, including Procurement, HR, and Finance, on BBBEE best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Stay up-to-date with any changes in BBBEE legislation and advise the organization accordingly.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of BBBEE activities, supplier assessments, and documentation.

Ensure the company's compliance with all applicable BBBEE regulations, auditing requirements, and standards.

Your Background

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in BBBEE compliance, preferably in a procurement environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of BBBEE legislation, policies, and scorecard requirements.
  • Proven experience working with BBBEE consultants, ED & SD programs, and Skills Development initiatives.
  • Experience in preparing and managing Workplace Skills Plans (WSP) and Annual Training Reports (ATR).
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes and supplier management.

Experience in reporting and maintaining accurate compliance records.
