Job description

Company : Northern Electrical Projects (NEP)

Location : Ferndale, Randburg

Reports to : Business Manager : Renewable Energy

Type of position : Fixed-Term Contract

Qualifications and Skills :

Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills :

• Matric.
• Electrical Qualification / B Tech or similar (must have practical experience).
• Qualified Installation Electrician with Wireman’s License.
• Management Development programme will be advantageous.
• Valid Unendorsed Code 8 driver’s License.
• Electrical & Solar systems and installation experience will be needed.
• Excellent knowledge and understanding of electrical design and maintenance processes.

Responsibilities :

The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include, but are not limited to :

• Ensure that the product and suppliers are of high quality.
• Oversee projects and ensure high quality standards at met.
• Ensure the Company complies with Health & Safety
• Install solar panels and systems
• Develops plans for purchasing equipment, services, and supplies.
• Negotiate the best deal for pricing and supply contracts.
• Perform any solar / electrical relevant tasks / projects as and when
• required by the Company.
• Work with team members to complete duties as needed.
• Identify and resolve electrical faults.
• Ensure installations meet safety standards and codes.
• Troubleshoot and repair solar panel faults.
• Follow a project from beginning to end, including handover with the client.
