Introduction: We currently have an opportunity for a General Manager Operations Inland based in Gauteng. This role is responsible for overseeing and optimizing all inland operational functions to ensure efficient and cost-effective logistics services.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the GM Ops Inland will implement strategies, manage teams, and achieve key performance targets across the JHB, POL, NLS, and KLD regions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic and Operational Planning and Implementation: Develop and execute an inland logistics strategy aligned with company objectives. Drive operational improvements, monitor market trends, and ensure compliance with policies and regulations. Manage KPIs, budgets, and financial performance, recommending cost-saving measures.
2. Operational Management: Manage daily inland operations, oversee compliance, optimize routes, allocate resources efficiently, and handle operational issues. Maintain stakeholder relationships and represent the company in industry forums.
3. People Management: Lead and develop the inland operations team, foster a positive work environment, manage performance, and oversee recruitment and disciplinary processes.

Qualifications and Experience: Logistics or Supply Chain qualification advantageous. Minimum 10 years' management experience, ideally within inland transport or supply chain sectors. Proficient in MS Office, own motor vehicle, and computer systems. Strong financial, leadership, and regulatory knowledge. Excellent communication skills.
