Job description

Are you a certified AEM Solution Architect with a strong command of enterprise architecture and solution design? We’re on the lookout for a Solution Architect to join a high-impact digital transformation programme within one of South Africa’s leading financial institutions. This 12-month fixed-term contract offers the opportunity to shape mission-critical solutions in a highly collaborative and fast-paced environment.

The main purpose of this role is to advise, coordinate, and design architectural solutions that align with business goals and ensure full integration between business strategy and information technology—specifically within the AEM Forms team .

Responsibilities

• Provide expert architectural consulting for projects related to AEM Forms .
• Conduct in-depth analysis of current and target states of AEM Forms solutions, incorporating infrastructure, network architecture, and Adobe Health Assessment Report recommendations.
• Advise on the CRX-to-SQL database migration and assess its overall impact on AEM.
• Provide architectural oversight for remediations recommended by Adobe.
• Evaluate and improve the technical design of ESD forms , ensuring alignment with best practices.
• Identify and implement architectural improvements and standards for better performance, scalability, and robustness.
• Lead and develop solution architecture for AEM-based projects.
• Review, evaluate, and enhance technical architecture for high-performance AEM Forms applications.
• Ensure alignment between enterprise and solution architectures, ICT standards, and architectural principles.
• Take end-to-end accountability for delivering solutions aligned with approved designs.
• Oversee RFI and RFP processes and evaluate responses from a solution-fit perspective.
• Guide platform governance and ensure AEM best practices in a multi-tenant environment.
• Support development teams with environment troubleshooting and technical documentation.
• Create and present multi-view architecture diagrams to different stakeholders.
• Collaborate with project managers, technical leads, and developers to ensure delivery quality and SDLC adherence.
• Perform code and design reviews to maintain quality standards.
• Evaluate emerging technologies to enhance current architecture and sustainability.

Requirements

Education & Certification :

• Honours Degree in Informatics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Certified AEM Solution Architect.
• A postgraduate qualification is a plus.

Experience :

• Minimum 5 years in AEM (CMS) solution architecture, enterprise architecture, or related roles.
• Experience in agile, fast-paced delivery teams (Scrum / DevOps environments).
• Hands-on expertise in AEM design, development, troubleshooting, and governance.
• Workshop facilitation and stakeholder negotiation experience.

Technical Skills :

• Solution Design : Proven experience in scalable, integrated AEM architecture.
• Strong grasp of platform integration, performance optimization, and infrastructure assessment.
