Key Purpose of the Role

The Product Specialist will be responsible for the rollout of all transformation technology for logistics warehousing and transportation. The role involves partnering with customers to build the best execution application landscape in Africa, enabling accurate payments to carriers across the Africa Zone, supporting the execution ecosystem of products, and working with development teams to enhance payment capabilities.

Key Roles and Responsibilities
  1. Understand logistics transportation payment principles to ensure successful technology enablement.
  2. Evaluate business processes, anticipate requirements, identify areas for improvement, and develop solutions.
  3. Manage projects, prioritize tasks, and align with business expectations.
  4. Manage business requirements and backlogs.
  5. Lead technical development teams to deliver new products aligning with business needs, collaborating with developers and stakeholders.
  6. Document processes, system logic, conduct testing, and manage change for programs like Aurora.
  7. Own Scrum routines, collaborate with Scrum Masters and stakeholders to deliver value-driven technology products.
  8. Support multiple projects, delegate duties, and ensure effective communication.
  9. Work efficiently under pressure, communicating effectively with stakeholders.
  10. Document requirements, testing results, and training materials accurately.
  11. Define training methodologies and rollout strategies, support change management, and perform UAT.
  12. Train users and support post-go-live operations, maintaining user-friendly documentation.
Key Attributes and Competencies
  • Financial background and experience with complex payment methodologies are advantageous.
  • Analytical thinking and data-driven problem-solving skills.
  • Proven track record of delivering projects on time.
  • Effective communication skills for engaging with global teams.
  • Understanding of logistics warehousing and inventory principles.
  • Stakeholder engagement experience.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, managing complexity and ambiguity.
  • Deep understanding of Agile & Scrum methodologies.
  • Knowledge of accounting and payment principles.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems or Business Management.
  • Experience in Business Analysis.
  • ERP Systems experience (SAP ECC / S4 HANA advantageous).
  • Intermediate Excel Skills.
  • Experience with SAP SD, MM, Transportation, and Logistics advantageous.
