The Role
Location : While this position is posted in a specific location all of Oysters positions are fully remote and you can work from home. Forever. To create the best experience for our new hire this role requires you to be based within 1 / 3 UTC.
We are looking for a handson Senior Accountant to help us carry out our daytoday accounting activities manage the monthly reporting process and own the ERP activities. The role will oversee the accounting for Oyster entities based around the world managing and communicating with all the various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Manage fullcycle accounting and intercompany transactions for global subsidiaries.
Prepare and review financial statements and balance sheet reconciliations for multiple entities.
Coordinate and provide necessary documentation for monthly quarterly and annual local statutory filings.
Ensure accuracy of local reporting and filings through thorough review and reconciliation.
Conduct financial analysis identify trends and present insights to stakeholders.
Contribute to the development of financial standards and process improvements.
Lead monthend and yearend close processes.
Oversee local statutory audits.
Execute ad hoc financial projects and analyses as required.
Requirements
Minimum 5 years of accounting experience including at least 1 year in a senior role.
CPA or equivalent accounting qualification.
Advanced proficiency in Excel including expertise in pivot tables and large dataset manipulation.
Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail and a logical approach to problemsolving.
Excellent organizational abilities demonstrating effective task and deadline management.
Superior communication skills with experience in stakeholder management and asynchronous work environments.
Demonstrated ability to proactively follow up and manage stakeholders ensuring timely completion of tasks and deliverables across multiple departments and levels of seniority.
Proactive mindset towards process improvement and automation.
BONUS Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems.
BONUS Background in payroll processing or SaaS companies.
BONUS Prior work experience in a highgrowth startup or dynamic business environment.
Youll also need
A reliable home internet connection (or be able to get one).
Fluent English language skills.
