Job description

Innovative designer of electronic products seeks an Electronics Engineer to join their professional design team.

Based in Paarl.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in PCB design, embedded microcontroller code development (C / C++) on MSP and STM32.

For the position you would be required to have:

• B. Sc / B.Eng in Electronics Engineering
• Around 3-8 years of experience in embedded microprocessor development (e.g., MSP, STM32)
• C++, Python or other high-level languages
• Experience with version control systems (git, svn) is advantageous
• Proficient in schematic capture and PCB layout considerations and reviews using Altium Designer

Responsibilities include:

• Embedded MCU programming of sensor engine-driven systems
• Application planning, design, and development
• Test infrastructure and firmware/software development
• Research and development of innovative ideas for new products
• Improving the performance and efficiency of existing products
• Implementing embedded software applications for various embedded systems
• Defining software architecture and application interfaces
• Debugging and designing embedded electronic hardware and firmware
• Performing circuit prototyping and verification
• Maintaining QMS system for own products/projects
• Client/distributor interface and support for an international customer base
