Job description

Check electrical plans, drawings, and quantities for accuracy of calculation. Monitor and ensure that work progress is within the schedules. Mobilize resources to support the construction engineer in designing, developing, testing, and supervising the manufacture of electrical equipment such as electric motors, radar and navigation systems, communication systems, or power generation equipment. Electrical engineers also design the electrical systems of automobiles and aircraft.

Duties :

1. Identify, report, and correct any safety deviations, ensuring that machines are never operated unsafely.
2. Maintain machines to prevent damage and theft, ensuring components are not inadvertently damaged and are maintained securely.
3. Schedule maintenance, including parts, consumables, and additional labor required.
4. Call for assistance when tasks exceed personal capability and collaborate with supervision on logistics to obtain labor.
5. Arrange adequate tools, spares, consumables, and special devices like lifting equipment to facilitate smooth task completion.
6. Complete all applicable documentation such as risk assessments, job cards, timesheets, incident reports, and waybills promptly and submit before the end of each shift.

Qualifications & Experience Required:

• Matric
• Mechanical/Electrical Engineering National Diploma or Artisan Trade (Red Seal)
• Minimum 5 years of experience working with heavy mechanical equipment
• Willing to apply for a passport and travel overseas

Salary range: R50,000 to R80,000 monthly. Medical insurance included.
