Are you a skilled Maintenance Engineer looking for your next challenge? Our client a manufacturer of steel products in the northern suburbs requires an Engineer, bilingual in Afrikaans and English, proactive with experience managing a team of artisans.

The position involves identifying and resolving faulty machines to ensure the smooth operation of manufacturing equipment.

Requirements:

• Matric, or equivalent qualification
• TECH Mechanical
• Advanced mathematical skills
• Own reliable transport
• 5+ years or more relevant experience
• Proven track record of managing artisans
• Sound technical ability and understanding of mechanical machines
• Able to read, understand and record production figures
• Strong sense for quality, speed, and cost-effective production principles
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Schedule machine maintenance for equipment uptime
• Oversee the maintenance team and ensure that all maintenance activities are executed as planned
• Identify opportunities to enhance maintenance processes, improve equipment reliability, and optimize overall production efficiency
• Analyse data (verbal and numerical) to find workable solutions to problems
