About the role:

Sun King is seeking an experienced Regional EB Program Optimization Manager to oversee and drive strategic expansion across Anglophone Africa (Nigeria, South Africa, and Uganda).

Key responsibilities include:

1. Success architect: Collaborate with Country Representatives to develop and implement operational plans aligned with our strategic vision.
2. Program excellence: Ensure timely delivery of programs, within budget, and exceeding quality expectations.
3. Talent multiplier: Mentor and empower Country Program Managers/Associates to build a high-performing team.
4. Budget Management: Oversee project budgets, ensure financial compliance, and optimize resource allocation.
5. Data and impact-focused: Monitor and evaluate programs using data to inform decisions and communicate results effectively.
6. Master connector: Build and maintain strong relationships with government officials, communities, partners, and stakeholders.

Candidate requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree (or equivalent Diploma/Certificate) with extensive experience in a relevant field.
2. 3+ years of program management experience.
3. Management experience: 4-5 years in a leadership role.
4. Project Management Certification: PMP / PgMP with verifiable credentials.
5. Deep understanding of the development landscape and related challenges.
6. Strong analytical skills: Ability to analyze data and solve complex problems.
7. Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
8. Fluency in English; proficiency in a local language is a plus.
9. Willingness to travel extensively (approximately 50%) across the continent.
