Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a trainee tax technician located in Durban. The trainee tax technician will be responsible for assisting with tax preparation, understanding and applying tax law, and supporting accounting and finance functions. Daily tasks will include preparing tax returns, conducting tax research, assisting with financial statements, and providing general support to senior tax advisors.

Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma qualification in Accounting or tax
• Knowledge of Tax Preparation, Tax, and Tax Law
• Proficiency in Accounting and Finance
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills
• Attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Experience or internship in tax or accounting is a plus
