KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

1. Participate in the conceptualisation of the business system to be developed or enhanced in line with approved business requirements.
2. Participate in the design of User Interface layout in accordance with approved functional and technical specifications.
3. Contribute to the development of system technical/functional specifications.
4. Consult with Business Analyst to inform the design of the system in accordance with approved user requirements specifications.
5. Obtain approval from all interested parties through extensive consultations, testing, and quality assurance.
6. Ensure that the systems/applications are developed or configured in accordance with applicable best practice standards and SAMSA Applications Architecture.
7. Propose enhancement opportunities for the systems/applications within the SAMSA Applications Portfolio.
8. Implement enhancements in response to audit findings and related review recommendations.
9. Ensure standardisation of development technology platforms across the Applications Portfolio.
10. Ensure that the systems are highly integrated and secure to ensure optimal business operations.
11. Ensure development and customization of reports.
12. Provide technology advisory services relating to the best platforms to keep abreast of fast-paced technology changes.
13. Conduct unit testing as part of the development or configuration process, including participation in User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
14. Ensure systems/applications are deployed according to deployment procedures and related processes.
15. Provide post-implementation support to ensure system stability and operational bug-free performance.
16. Identify training needs and recommend solutions to the system owner.
17. Participate in developing system user manuals.
18. Participate in user training and system refreshers to ensure users are familiar with the system.
19. Ensure systems are stable, reliable, and always available to users.
20. Provide 1st, 2nd, and 3rd line application support and maintenance.
21. Manage application upgrades and updates according to maintenance schedules.
22. Analyze problems and provide resolutions, escalating to external providers when necessary.
23. Ensure high system performance and availability.
24. Manage user accounts, implement Segregation of Duty Matrix, and conduct reviews.
25. Develop processes to optimize business applications.
26. Manage change requests following the Change Management process.
27. Contribute to the development and testing of the Disaster Recovery Plan.
28. Manage business processes with system owners and stakeholders.
29. Manage service providers involved in system maintenance.
30. Conduct meetings with service providers, document outcomes, and follow up on escalated issues.
31. Manage SLA targets to ensure they are met.
