Job description

A role exists for an individual to join Arista Sales Team South Africa as a new business Account Manager. The focus is on creating and growing sales within a designated territory.

This role requires a self-starter with sales leadership skills, capable of increasing revenue quarter-by-quarter and building a pipeline for the future. The candidate will develop relationships with customers, VARs, channel partners, and technology and business partners. Attending industry events to generate leads is also essential.

Success depends on identifying and qualifying major IT spends within the territory and creating engagement plans that generate pipeline opportunities across Arista’s portfolio. An understanding of technology and the ability to translate customer priorities into Arista solutions are crucial.

What You'll Do

  • Exceed sales objectives and promote the Arista brand within enterprise and commercial accounts.
  • Use a consultative approach with key stakeholders to address needs related to hybrid cloud and legacy IT systems.
  • Generate new opportunities and deliver sales presentations.
  • Meet with decision-makers to showcase Arista’s value.
  • Partner with the Systems Engineering team to design solutions that reduce total cost of ownership.
  • Collaborate with channel partners to identify prospects and build relationships, including joint pipeline activities.
  • Conduct demand generation activities such as events and forums; manage campaigns for pipeline creation.
  • Work with marketing on plans and best practices.

Stay informed about partner solutions, competitors, and industry trends.

  • Communicate steps and dependencies to closure, manage expectations, and report forecasts clearly within Arista and partners.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience selling networking technology to enterprise and commercial clients.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Ability to discuss Arista’s value at initial meetings and engage at all levels.
  • Knowledge of industry trends, virtualization, SDN, and cloud technologies.
