Junior Developer X 2

Information Systems Department, National Office – Braamfontein

Applications are invited from persons interested to fill the above-mentioned position. The incumbent will be appointed on a permanent basis. The position is based at the Legal Aid SA National Office in Braamfontein, Johannesburg.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Assist in gathering and documenting user requirements for business process automation using K2.
  • Support the development and maintenance of K2 SmartForms, Workflows, Views and SmartObjects.
  • Assist in creating functional specifications and basic technical documentation under guidance.
  • Support software testing and logging of test results, ensuring compliance with the IS Software Change Management Policy.
  • Provide basic application support and troubleshoot workflow-related issues.
  • Participate in deployments and updates to K2 solutions with guidance from senior team members.
  • Support data analysis and reporting tasks through K2 and Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Collaborate with the IS team to manage incidents and service requests.
  • Continuously develop technical and business process knowledge.
  • Expected to work extended hours when required.

Qualifications And Requirements

  • National Senior/Matric certificate plus a three (3) year tertiary qualification in IT, Computer Science or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1 to 2 years’ relevant experience in software development or business process automation.
  • Exposure to or knowledge of:
    • Microsoft .NET C# (ASP.NET, MVC or Windows Forms)
    • K2 development (SmartForms, Workflows, SmartObjects)
    • SharePoint 2013 or higher
    • Microsoft SQL Server (2014 or higher)
  • Basic understanding of system design, testing and business processes.
  • A K2 Foundation or equivalent introductory certification is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies is beneficial.
  • Good analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to learn and grow in a structured environment.
  • Ability to follow instructions, work collaboratively and contribute to team goals.
  • Dependable, proactive and eager to improve skills.
