Role Purpose
To contribute to the ongoing refinement and enhancement of the current and future sales and marketing strategy.
Main Outputs
Sales
- Actively search for, pursue, and engage potential clients
- Maintain knowledge of existing contracts and hold weekly meetings with Regions General Manager & Operations Manager
- Manage the compilation and, where necessary, draft high-quality proposals, bids, and tender responses
- Follow up and survey leads generated through various channels and cold calling
- Ensure tenders and bids are responded to professionally, timely, and in a compliant manner
- Engage and manage strategic suppliers providing solutions and commercial content for proposals, bids, and tenders
- Identify weaknesses in the sales process and address them
- Follow up on canceled contracts
- Implement and manage strategic initiatives to meet and exceed annual growth targets to increase market share
- Achieve monthly sales budgets by implementing and maintaining effective marketing and sales strategies
Marketing
- Identify new growth opportunities by market segments
- Utilize the full marketing mix for the company's marketing communications
- Promote sister companies such as Steiner Hygiene, TopTurf, etc.
Reporting
- Provide comprehensive weekly and monthly sales and marketing reports
Qualifications and Skills
The applicant must meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma in Sales, Business Development, or Marketing
- Matric (Senior Certificate)
- Valid Driver’s License
- Minimum of 3 years’ solid experience in Business Development and best practices within the sales environment
- Strong sales and marketing knowledge, ideally in the services industry
- Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
