Purpose Of The Job

Provide support to senior staff of Alexander Forbes Investments’ Delegated solutions team for their client reportbacks, as well as to senior and principal consultants on Advisory clients. Contribute to the profitability of Alexander Forbes by providing a professional, quality service to clients; ensuring client satisfaction, retention, and expansion; keeping abreast of industry developments; and maintaining Alexander Forbes' standards at all times.

Overview
Client Relationships
  • Assist senior team members with report backs to delegated clients and/or advice clients.
  • Assist senior team in keeping clients updated with developments in investments.
  • Ensure clients understand the nature of their investment portfolios.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with all clients.
  • Follow up on queries and resolve client issues.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients, both formal and informal.
  • Respond promptly to client queries and requests.
  • Maintain the existing client base.
  • Liaise with investment team members when necessary.
  • Stay informed about investment developments and pursue self-development.
  • Deliver quality service and fulfill commitments to clients.
  • Remain client-focused at all times.
Support of Senior Staff and Client Work
  • Maintain and support a portfolio of clients to add value and achieve satisfaction.
  • Support deliverables related to presentation report backs on economics and investment performance.
  • Act as an interface between the client and internal departments.
  • Ensure all FAIS requirements are met when advising and providing intermediary services.
Getting Input from Internal Contacts
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure quality client service and achievement of client objectives.
  • Communicate effectively regarding client portfolio management issues.
  • Complete tasks to satisfaction and follow up on instructions and information requests.
Self-Development
  • Demonstrate self-awareness and insight into personal strengths and areas for development.
Treating Customers Fairly (TCF)
  • Ensure duties are performed in alignment with TCF outcomes.
  • Own up promptly to mistakes or oversights that may impact TCF.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science, Financial Services, or Investments.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in investments within the financial services industry.
  • RE5 certification.
