About the Information Governance and Security Team

The Information Governance and Security function within the Discovery Group aims to provide assurance that the organisation's information assets are adequately protected against threats on a control basis. This is achieved by finding the right balance of information security and business freedom.

Key Purpose

The Information Security Administrator will be employed in the Security Operations team to perform basic security roles and functions, with opportunities to broaden knowledge, skills, and experience in areas such as ICAM, Endpoint, and Edge Security. The role involves collaboration with governance and compliance teams.

Areas of Responsibility
  1. Administrate environments including Beyond Trust, Exchange Online, Citrix, SharePoint, and Secure File Transfer Protocol.
  2. Review daily reports from hygiene tooling and remediate issues as required.
  3. Perform incident management, request handling, workflows, and problem management.
  4. Provide direct and remote Level 2-3 application/server support in Windows environments.
  5. Maintain high employee satisfaction through effective communication and customer service.
  6. Document configurations and procedures for transition to help desk or support teams.
  7. Use corporate tools to record change, incident, and problem activities.
  8. Assist with creation of shared drives and security permissions.
  9. Assist with privileged access management and license management.
  10. Possess Windows and MacOS knowledge.
  11. Manage incidents or requests logged via the call logging tool.
