Job Description

The purpose of this role is to coordinate, manage, and execute financial accounting and reporting processes including period end closes, statistical and statutory reporting, transactional accounting, internal and external audit, and preparation of Annual Financial Statements.

Responsibilities include:

• Accountability for the execution of business-level financial reporting processes.
• Facilitating the development of budgets and managing monthly forecasts.
• Overseeing the creation, interpretation, and implementation of financial accounting policies.
• Managing the preparation and submission of Annual Financial Statements in compliance with applicable financial reporting standards.
• Monitoring compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Accounting Interpretations.
• Accountable for the overall trial balance, including review of reconciliations.
• Managing transactional accounting and processing activities, including cash, payroll, fixed assets, debtors, creditors, and revenue accounting.
• Coordinating the period-end close process and short-term cash forecasting.
• Responsible for the governance and integration of all financial systems (ERP, Treasury, Marketing, Forecasting, etc.).
• Handling half-year and year-end statutory reporting including external briefing paper submissions and governance reviews.
• Responsible for internal and external financial reporting requirements including RAC, Board, JV, and Third-Party reporting.
• Ensuring compliance with statistical and statutory reporting requirements.
