Role Description
  • The Team Lead is responsible for managing an operations team within a designated Operations Functional Area, ensuring the delivery of services to Corporate / Retail Clients on behalf of FNZ.
  • Key responsibilities include managing day-to-day operations, regulatory compliance, financial risk management, and overseeing processes within their team's remit.
  • The role involves supporting change management initiatives, ensuring effective participation and compliance with FNZ standards.
  • Service delivery to clients must meet accuracy, compliance, and KPI standards.
  • FNZ acts as an asset custodian, responsible for client asset administration.
Specific Role Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop the team to deliver excellent customer service, with a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Manage the team's purpose, ensuring provision of top-tier operational services.
  • Utilize management information to monitor team performance against KPIs and SLAs.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and support the delivery of technology solutions aligned with business goals.
  • Foster a motivating environment, ensuring clear career paths and team engagement.
  • Collaborate with global and external stakeholders, including clients, regulators, and partners, to ensure service excellence and compliance.
Process
  • Ensure team resilience and compliance with reporting standards.
  • Support error management, risk management, and audit processes.
  • Participate in operational transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain operational controls to reduce errors and prevent fraud.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including acting as an Overseer as per regulations.
People
  • Develop team skills through training, coaching, and feedback.
  • Manage performance and address issues promptly with HR support.
  • Promote a culture of collaboration, openness, and ethical decision-making.
  • Ensure completion of mandatory training and adherence to FNZ conduct standards.
Governance
  • Provide timely reports to Boards and Committees.
  • Participate in governance meetings, ensuring effective outcomes and risk mitigation.
  • Engage in change management processes to ensure readiness and successful implementation.
Experience Required

Knowledge & Skills

  • Degree or equivalent in finance, business, or a related field.
  • Significant operations experience within Wealth Management / Platform industry.
  • Proven knowledge of platform industry and client services.
  • Previous experience in operations management.
  • Extensive industry knowledge, including developments and regulatory frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of risk, compliance, and operational policies in financial services.
  • UK-specific knowledge of financial regulations such as CASS, COBS, COLL, and SYSC, as well as HMRC regulations.
