Business Development Manager – Johannesburg

Technical ~ Sales / Marketing / Communications

JHB North, Johannesburg – Gauteng

Remuneration: R500 000 – R600 000 per annum neg. based on experience

Leading South African Metal Foundry seeks an experienced and motivated Sales and Business Development professional with a proven track record of successful trade and negotiation. The candidate must also have an established database of active clients for reference. Extensive knowledge of trade and industry for the sector is highly advantageous.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Manage regional sales team
  2. Ensure sales targets are reached
  3. Ensure revenue growth for regional office
  4. Maintain quality service and customer relations at all times
  5. Serve as technical liaison between the foundry and clients
  6. Assist in quoting on new jobs for potential clients
  7. Promote business products and services to potential clients
  8. Generate new business leads in the region and surrounding provinces
  9. Expand new business development into neighboring African countries

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Valid Matric certificate
  • Tertiary qualifications (advantageous)
  • Sales and management experience (non-negotiable), minimum 5-10 years
  • Foundry experience (advantageous)
  • Foundry-related trade knowledge (advantageous)
  • Ability to read technical drawings (advantageous)
  • Active database of clients (not necessarily industry-specific)

Travel and cross-border experience is necessary.
