Purpose:
A pharmaceutical manufacturing company is seeking a HRBP who will be responsible to:
- Drive the strategic use of human resources and enhance and maintain functions such as recruitment, employee relations, employment equity and regulatory compliance in line with Group HR and business strategy
- Lead and drive outputs of the following units: employee strategy and relations, payroll, talent, sourcing and benefits, and communications and PR
- The Head of HR will play a pivotal role in shaping the organisational culture and ensuring that their talent management strategies align with the company's vision and growth prospects, they are seeking a seasoned professional who will be responsible for creating a high-performance culture through effective employee engagement practices, robust learning and development programs, and strategic change management
Key Job Outputs:
Stakeholder management
- Coordinate with functional heads to maximise HR service delivery
- Develop conflict reduction strategies and engagement structures
- Participate in stakeholder meetings, as required
- Review and approve internal and external corporate communications (e.g. newsletters)
Strategic human resources management
- Provide direction and support in the handling of ER matters
- Participate in substantive/ collective bargaining forum negotiations
- Oversee CCMA and Labour Court referral matters and guide in disciplinary and grievance processes
- Provide strategic direction and support in achieving EE targets
- Recommend recruitment strategies in line with business strategies
- Ensure that remuneration systems and structures are strategically aligned and pay levels equitable and competitive
- Develop and implement strategies and processes for strategic HR interventions such as succession planning, performance management, employee engagement and EAP
HR Administration
- Oversee recruitment processes, including on-boarding, assessments, appointments, terminations and associated budgets
- Oversee the generation, review, monitoring and reporting of EE figures
- Ensure employee movements are tracked, including absenteeism, annual and sick leave reporting, sick leave counselling and disability processes
- Review reports drafted by the Data Analyst and other direct reports
Organisational support and function management
- Participate in the development and lead the implementation of the strategic vision and direction for business-critical functions across SA, as well as all related plans, policies and procedures
- Perform financial and human resources functions to ensure optimal management of function and reporting units and their leaders
- Manage collaboration and coordination between reporting units
- Maintain and support positive customer engagements and problem resolution

Qualifications:
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree preferred, ideally in Human Resources Management or Industrial and Organisational Psychology
Experience:
- 10 years’ related experience in HR Leadership role with strong HRM and ER/ LR experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on operational execution
