A leading fibre network operator is seeking a Core Transmission Engineer to manage their national Core IP network and oversee transmission infrastructure. Qualifications

• 5+ years in ISP/Service Provider environment.
• In-depth knowledge of networking protocols OSPF, BGP, and ISIS.
• Familiarity with Mac OS X is a plus.

Your key responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain the national Core IP network
• Oversee the national transmission network infrastructure
• Develop architecture and design plans for the IP Core and Voice network
• Conduct client visits and provide follow-up service and technical support
• Deploy and configure network equipment
• Configure routing and switching protocols
• Set up QoS policies to optimize traffic flow and performance
• Continuously monitor and optimize network performance

Our required expertise:

• CCNA / CCNP / CCDP or relevant IT/Networking qualification
• 5+ years’ experience in an ISP or Service Provider environment
• In-depth knowledge of Mikrotik routers, Layer 2 switching, and Arista equipment
• Strong working experience with OSPF, BGP, and ISIS routing protocols
• Experience in Mikrotik MPLS deployments (advantageous)
• Familiarity with Mac OS X (a plus)
• Proven project management capability
