Key Tasks & Accountabilities
- Functional Management
- Report to the Head of Statutory Reporting, overseeing all legal entities within the Group.
- Process IFRS 17 accounting journals from the Actuarial team, ensuring timely recording and reconciliation from IFRS 4 to IFRS 17 in line with IFRS and Group reporting standards.
- Prepare investment accounting journal entries for equities and bonds, ensuring timely and compliant recording.
- Review and post other head office journal entries to ensure accuracy and compliance with IFRS and reporting standards.
- Prepare month-end finance packs for both consolidated and individual entities, adhering to reporting timelines.
- Submit quarterly reports to the Fairfax Group via the OneStream System, no later than the 12th day after quarter-end.
- Support actuarial team with quarterly and annual SAM submissions for statutory and regulatory reporting to the Prudential Authority.
- Handle taxation calculations, including income tax, deferred tax, provisional payments, and tax returns.
- Assist in managing the external audit process for annual financial statements and related activities.
- Prepare annual financial statements for all entities and support subsidiary financial processes.
- Maintain internal controls related to financial reporting to ensure compliance.
- Engage with stakeholders, including finance senior management, actuarial team, and other finance teams, fostering effective communication and teamwork.
- Promote a results-oriented environment aligned with Bryte's culture and principles.

Qualification & Experience
- CA (SA)
- 2 to 3 years of relevant experience
- Experience with insurance (life, general, reinsurance) preferred
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, including IFRS 17
- Familiarity with SAM solvency legislation and reporting
- Experience in accounting or financial services roles
