Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated individual responsible for managing all laboratory activities, including testing substrates, inks, chemicals, effluent, and final products.

Main Responsibilities (not Limited To):

  1. Ensure compliance with equipment calibration specifications and update procedures accordingly.
  2. Conduct tests on substrates, inks, chemicals, effluent, and final products.
  3. Prepare monthly reports and document all non-conformances.
  4. Identify deviations from standards and specifications; recommend corrective actions.
  5. Investigate issues related to counterfeit notes.
  6. Ensure dual control and proper accounting of notes.
  7. Maintain laboratory equipment and develop an annual calibration control matrix.
  8. Train staff on laboratory equipment and procedures.
  9. Adhere to SHEQ standards and regulations.
  10. Participate in problem-solving exercises to enhance business operations.
  11. Collaborate in cross-functional teams on continuous improvement initiatives.
  12. Support R&D activities through testing, data collection, and analysis.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

  • Grade 12 and a Degree in Analytical Chemistry or Chemistry.
  • 2-5 years of experience in a laboratory setting within the printing industry.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of ISO 17025 standards.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards.
  • Statistical analysis skills.
  • Strong analytical abilities.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Research and problem-solving capabilities.
