Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in heavy industry/mining/mineral/chemical processing.
• At least 5 years of experience in management/supervision.

Join a leading engineering group, expanding in the mining sector. We seek an expert project manager to oversee projects for safe, quality, sustainable, and cost-efficient production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage project lifecycle (scope, time, budget) and develop business cases
• Define project plans, budgets, and risk mitigation strategies
• Monitor performance, compile reports, and ensure compliance with SHE policies
• Lead stakeholder engagement, contractor management, and tender adjudication
• Ensure engineering standards adherence and supervise construction activities
• Support capital planning, maintenance integration, and continuous improvement

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering field (NQF Level 7)
• At least 5 years of experience in heavy industry/mining/mineral/chemical processing
• At least 5 years of experience in management/supervision
• Project Management certification advantageous

Key skills include:

• Project management methodologies (Agile, PMBOK, Hybrid etc.)
• Engineering disciplines & standards, MHSA (Mine Health Safety Act)
• Leadership, conflict resolution, risk & performance management
• Strong planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• SAP, MS Office, capital budgeting, supply chain & contract management
• Able to manage multiple projects under pressure
