Requirements
  • Grade 12 plus an appropriate qualification that allows registration as an independent Practitioner.
  • No experience required after registration as a Medical Registrar.
  • Must have completed Post Community Service.
  • Registration with HPCSA for the financial year 2025/26.
  • The successful candidates will be expected to rotate through all our training hospitals.
  • Advantages include: Work experience in the field of Anesthesiology; CMSA part 1 examinations; auxiliary courses relevant to the field of Anesthesiology.
Duties
  • Provide clinical services to patients at Steve Biko Academic Hospital and referring hospitals.
  • Participate in departmental academic programmes, research activities, and clinical audit meetings.
Notes
  • Positions are joint appointments between the Gauteng Department of Health and academic institutions: University of Witwatersrand, University of Pretoria, and Sefako Makgatho University.
  • No payment is required for application.
