Job Requirements

The ideal candidate should possess:

  1. SAIPA registration with a related degree and completed articles, with 2 years of post-article experience.
  2. 1-3 years of experience with Xero cloud-based accounting.
  3. Knowledge of Accounting, Income Tax, Provisional Tax, PAYE, VAT, SARS, and E-filing.
  4. Strong technical skills and the ability to support team members.
  5. Experience in team management or leading in a group context.
  6. Proficiency in CRM and Practice Management software.
  7. Ability to train and complete CPD requirements proactively.
  8. Attention to detail, deadline-driven, and able to work under pressure.
  9. Excellent communication skills and a strategic mindset for growth.
  10. Business-minded with entrepreneurial flair and a commitment to ethical excellence.
Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  1. Build and manage client relationships and ensure compliance.
  2. Supervise bookkeeping functions.
  3. Plan and manage all client deliverables, including outsourced accounting, bookkeeping, and financial management functions.
  4. Prepare and submit tax returns, provisional tax, payroll, EMP, VAT recons, and related returns.
  5. Prepare monthly management accounts and annual financial statements.
  6. Lead client meetings, either face-to-face or virtually.
