The Lean Facilitator will support the development and implementation of efficiency initiatives within the organization.
POSITION INFO: Job Purpose
Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, this role focuses on implementing Lean and World-Class Manufacturing principles in the BevCo Manufacturing environment. The Lean Facilitator will aid in developing and executing efficient and effective business operations.
Key Accountabilities and Outputs
- Traineeship in operations management, emphasizing manufacturing continuous improvement initiatives, reporting systems (Shopware & SAP), and lean principles.
- Participation in project-based assignments, gaining exposure to all business aspects, especially Operations (one Green Belt project annually).
- Develop and support the implementation of the World Class Manufacturing Programme.
- Drive the OEE improvement program utilizing a Green Belt project.
- Support learning and development through training delivery.
Strategy and Planning
- Assess manufacturing and production performance by analyzing data and metrics.
- Evaluate operational process effectiveness and efficiency, seeking improvements.
Operational Enhancements and Efficiencies
- Compile and analyze production data to inform regional performance.
- Serve as the Shopware super-user to maximize technology capabilities.
- Collaborate with the regional operations manager to support daily operations and achieve goals.
- Facilitate communication, issue resolution, and project development related to operations.
General Business, Financial, and People Management
- Participate in strategic planning and budgeting.
- Drive continuous improvement by streamlining operational practices and systems.
- Ensure compliance with operational and financial standards and controls.
- Adhere to all safety, health, environment, and quality standards.
- Manage costs, mitigate financial risks, and address variances.
- Ensure appropriate staffing and manage employee performance effectively.
Qualifications and Experience
- BEng Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering (preferred).
- Experience in manufacturing and engineering.
- Minimum of 3 years in a manufacturing environment (preferred).
- FMCG experience is advantageous.
