Job Title / Role : Field Service Engineer – DI CS Organization : Lead

Role Overview

Performs technical, mainly pre-defined tasks for accomplishing defined service delivery work for customer equipment.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Completing a broad scope of technical tasks including commissioning, maintenance, repairs, and evaluation of customer equipment and systems.
  2. Determining priorities and scheduling tasks accordingly.
  3. Supporting customers remotely and onsite, providing 2nd and 3rd level user support.
  4. Contributing to or conducting maintenance and improvement of internal tools, equipment, processes, and data repositories.
  5. Participating in estimation, planning, and review of technical tasks for project support.
  6. Adhering to relevant processes and regulations.
  7. Optional management duties: Managing sub-contractors and monitoring delivery.
Technical Responsibilities

Render professional services including plant and preventative maintenance, commissioning, system design assistance, upgrades, repairs, retrofits, technical audits, hotline activities, and breakdown services 24/7 with minimal response time.

Ensure work is cost-effective, compliant with procedures, customer specifications, and safety regulations.

Maintain and update technical hardware & software documentation, communicating updates to responsible specialists.

Identify personal training needs to stay current with system and product technologies.

Ensure availability of diagnostic tools, testing equipment, spares, and documentation.

Participate in marketing and sales activities, including tender and contract preparations, to support business growth.

Qualifications and Experience
  • National Diploma / B Tech / Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics.
  • 3-5 years of field service experience as a technician or engineer.
  • Knowledge of Siemens products advantageous.
  • Experience with drives repairs and commissioning: Micromaster, Sinamics, DC Drives (6RA70, 6RA80).
  • Experience with Simocodes, PLCs, and Softstarters advantageous.
  • Willingness to work overtime, standby, and travel.
