Job description

Job Description
  • Perform full end-to-end payroll processing using SAGE (Sage 300, Sage People, Sage Easy File).
  • Conduct payroll reconciliations, including pension, MIBCO, and medical aid contributions.
  • Process RMA submissions and perform related calculations.
  • Submit UIF declarations and prepare UI19 and salary schedules.
  • Manage EMP201 submissions via e-filing and Easy File.
  • Handle monthly payroll rollovers, updates, and system backups.
  • Compile and manage payroll reports (VIP report-writing experience is advantageous).
  • Maintain and utilise the Employee Self-Service (ESS) system.
  • Ensure compliance with current labour laws and payroll regulations.
  • Utilise Excel extensively for payroll calculations and reporting.
  • Conduct accuracy checks and maintain meticulous filing processes.
  • Respond to employee queries regarding salaries, deductions, and benefits.
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to ensure payroll accuracy and efficiency.
  • Contribute to system and process improvements within the payroll function.
Requirements
  • Matric (Grade 12)
  • Diploma in Payroll Administration, Financial Accounting, or HR Management (advantageous)
  • Minimum 5 years of end-to-end payroll experience, ideally in the motor industry
  • Proven experience with the online MIBCO system, including benefit processing and reconciliation
  • Strong knowledge of payroll legislation (PAYE, UIF, SDL, BCEA, etc.)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with payroll systems such as VIP, SAGE, SAP, or similar
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage tight deadlines and work under pressure
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Collaborative team player with a proactive and solutions-oriented mindset
  • Familiarity with commission-based payroll structures (advantageous)
